Working with me
For industry
At the moment, I’m not seeking industry internships. That said, I always enjoy staying connected with industry and I’m happy to meet and keep in touch with people working there.
For academic collaboration
I’m currently not actively looking for new collaborators outside ETH Zurich, except for established partnerships. However, if you have a compelling idea and think we could build something impactful together, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out.
For student projects
I’m always happy to supervise students for semester projects and Master’s theses. This includes (1) ETH students and (2) exceptional students from elsewhere who can come to ETH for their project and handle any administrative requirements independently.
There are two paths:
1) Student-proposed projects
If you already have an idea, please email me a short description along with your CV and transcript. I’m glad to consider projects that are a good fit and genuinely exciting.
2) Projects I propose
I regularly post project ideas on SIROP. For these, I typically look for:
- Strong motivation and interest. Please read relevant papers and understand the background before applying—this signals real interest and helps us have productive, well-informed discussions.
- Strong engineering skills, sufficient time commitment, a research mindset, and clear communication.
- Research experience is a plus, but not required.
Note: For projects where I’m significantly involved and directing, I aim to ensure the work leads to meaningful results for the robotics community. Rather than searching for the “perfect” student, I prioritize a good-enough fit that can start ASAP.
